The solar power plant of the University of Sistan and Baluchestan was officially opened in the first phase of 2012, with a capacity of 20 kilowatts, of which 15 kilowatts are connected to the grid and injected into the electricity network of the university. And 5 kilowatts of it are isolated from the grid and when the power of the city is cut off, it can be used by the batteries used in a separate system from the power grid of the site and the building of the solar power plant of the university.
In the next phase of the development of the solar power plant, another two years later, the year 2015, another project with a capacity of 20 kilowatts connected to the power grid was opened and put into operation.
In the not too distant future, with the help of God, we will see the opening of another phase of 40 kW at the site of the University's solar power plant.
And the bigger goal is to use the ceiling of the existing buildings in the university to locate solar panels and design and build garages with its roof covered with solar panels. It will be possible to use up to one megawatts of electricity from these spaces to generate electricity.
One of the important advantages of this unit is the online monitoring system of electricity generation at Sistan and Baluchestan University.
Other achievements of this unit include the ability to implement solar systems and advice to people interested in working on new energies.
In the not too distant future, turning this unit into the New Energy Institute will be an effective step forward in deploying this technology.
